Classic Shell is a program which lets you customise and control what happens on the Windows Start Menu and Taskbar, by allowing you to change styles of the Start Button by color or size.
This project has been going for about 12 years, since 29 November 2009.
Fun Fact: The Windows 8.1 CollabVM uses a version of Classic Shell called Open-Shell which is used to get rid of the annoying Start Screen (mostly), and the project is still going on since Classic Shell’s project ended 4 years ago.
